So I saw that ChatGPT 4.0 is free now, but there’s still a paid subscription option. What does the subscription actually give you? Is it faster, better, or just extra perks? Kinda confused here.
I’ve been using both. The free version is decent, but the paid one gives priority access during busy times. It’s been faster for me too.

Oh, that’s good to know. I hate waiting when it’s busy. Do they cap the number of chats for free users?
@Whit
Yeah, they limit it, especially if you’re using the API or need advanced features. The subscription lifts a lot of those restrictions.

I’ve noticed the free one sometimes has slower responses, especially for complex queries. Paid users get quicker turnarounds.
FYI, the paid version also gives access to new features sooner. They roll out updates there first before the free tier.

That’s interesting. I wonder if that includes things like plugins or integrations?
IDK if it’s worth it unless you’re a heavy user. For casual stuff, the free one works fine. Anyone feel the same?

Same here. I only use it occasionally, so I don’t see the point in paying.

True, but for work stuff, the extra reliability is kinda nice. Depends on your use case.
Just my two cents… if you use it for creative work or coding, the paid version feels smoother. It’s like having a premium feature set.
