All I know is, I needed this image to exist, and now it does.
ChatGPT is a form of art itself.
I asked it to create an image of our Blue Heeler soaring through space propelled by a green fart. Honestly, that’s even better than the Mona Lisa.
The definition of art is subjective to the viewer. We’re at a stage where it’s often difficult to distinguish between generated and non-generated art. It’s not about the raw pixels themselves but rather the perspective of the person viewing it that defines its artistic value.
Dismissing AI-generated images as not being art is like saying a director didn’t make a movie. The image generator acts based on the vision of the human creator, making the result a form of art.
It’s a shame that AI art can blend in so seamlessly with human-created art. It’s fully capable of producing pieces that are indistinguishable from those made by humans, so the absence of some unique “secret sauce” doesn’t make a difference.
