OpenAI just launched Sora Turbo, a faster version of their video generation model. It lets you create 20-second videos in different resolutions and formats using text prompts. They’ve even added tools like storyboards for detailed input and feeds to showcase community creations. It’s included with ChatGPT Plus, but there’s also a Pro plan for higher resolutions and more usage. What do you all think? Are we ready for AI-generated video to go mainstream, or are there still too many limitations?
It’s impressive, but I think it’ll take time before people fully trust AI videos. Those safeguards like watermarks and metadata are a good start, though.

Agreed. The transparency features are nice, but I wonder how effective they’ll be in preventing misuse.
@Zinnia
Probably a step in the right direction, but misuse seems inevitable with any new tech. I’m curious about how strict their moderation is.

It’s also a question of accessibility. Not everyone has a Plus or Pro subscription, so how will this impact who gets to use the tech?
I like the idea of using storyboards for precise control. It feels like a game-changer for content creators.

Yeah, it could make things a lot easier for indie creators who can’t afford big production budgets.
The 20-second limit feels restrictive, but I get it—it’s probably a trade-off for faster speeds.

That’s true, but for short clips or social media, it might be enough. Longer durations would be nice for storytelling, though.
The fact that uploads featuring people are limited right now is interesting. I guess they’re being cautious about deepfakes.

Makes sense. The risks with deepfakes are huge, and it’s good they’re prioritizing safety over rapid rollout.
I’m excited to see what the community creates. The Featured and Recent feeds could be a fun way to discover new ideas.
