I have a Plus account with $2,500 in API credit and haven’t violated any rules. However, a few days ago, when I logged in, I saw a message saying, “You do not have an account because it has been deleted or deactivated.” I submitted an appeal at https://help.openai.com/ and emailed support@openai.com, but I haven’t received a response. Has anyone else experienced this, and how can I resolve it? Thanks.
I encountered a similar issue after using ChatGPT during the holidays.
I reached out to their “support” about four times but felt like I was getting nowhere. After four weeks, they finally emailed me to say that my account was locked due to suspicious activity and that I needed to reset my password. There was no refund or compensation offered.
I won’t be giving OpenAI any more money.
Their customer service system is incredibly poor—it’s virtually nonexistent.
It might be because they banned the account based on IP. Are you in a country where ChatGPT isn’t supported?
Yeah, this situation is pretty messed up. I understand that the OP is in an area with an IP ban, but OpenAI shouldn’t just keep their API credits. We all need to treat each other better than this.
