Is there a tool to generate text from a large collection of written material?

I know it’s easy to copy and paste a small paragraph and ask for a new version, but is there any tool that can work with a large amount of text, like an entire personal diary? I’m looking for something that can take this material and rework it based on prompts, combining the content in new ways. Does that make sense?

You could try Claude Project. You can upload a large text file and then set up prompts to generate new content from it.

That sounds great, I’ll try it out :slight_smile:

Do you just upload a text file directly? I’m still pretty new to Claude and not sure how to start.

@Haim
I’m not sure about the file size limits on the free plan, but you could try with a smaller sample first. Claude Projects are mainly for paid plans, though. You start a project and upload everything you want to use, then you can have multiple chats within the same project without needing to upload the file again.

@Cody
Thanks! I’m checking the plans now. It seems like Claude might be a better fit for creative writing compared to NotebookLM, so I’m going to give it a try :slight_smile:

You can also try Google’s NotebookLM.
