Can you use Bing AI on chrome?

Although it was only a little inconvenient that Bing AI Chat only worked on Edge before, it was nice when it was supported on Chrome, at the end of August. I now get a popup when I try to use Bing AI Chat in Chrome, saying it only works in Edge, and pushing me to open Edge.

When I ask Bing AI chat about it, it says, " Yes, Bing AI chat was supported on Chrome. You need to install the Bing Chat for All Browsers extension from the Chrome web store and sign in with your Microsoft account1 "

I don’t see “Bing Chat for All Browsers” in the Chrome store.

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

The trick was to copy the URL of the sidebar iframe from Edge into Chrome and voila.

Hope they don’t patch it though.

Sidenote: you have to be logged into Bing, and have access to Bing AI in order for this to work.

Yes, you can use Bing AI on Chrome. Here’s how:

  1. Search Engine

You can set Bing as your default search engine in Chrome if you want to use Bing AI’s search capabilities directly from the address bar. Go to Chrome settings > Search engine > Manage search engines and site search > Add Bing and set it as default.

  1. Website Access

You can directly visit the Bing website (www.bing.com) in Chrome and use Bing AI’s features, such as their AI-powered search and chat functionalities.

  1. Extensions

There might be Chrome extensions available that integrate Bing services directly into your browser. You can find these in the Chrome Web Store.

Text me if you’re still unable to connect with Bing

No, Bing AI itself isn’t a standalone application that you can use directly within the Chrome browser.
