Hey, so, I’ve been playing around with Bing AI and it’s been amazing. I once used it to create some pretty unique images for a project I’m working on. Now, I’m wondering if it’s possible to patent those images since they’re quite different and special.
Has anyone here tried patenting an AI-generated image?
From my experience, patents are usually for inventions or processes, not images. Copyright might be a better fit. I looked into it when I made my images and found out that since AI creates them, it gets complicated because you’re not the sole creator.
I made some cool images for a project once, and I get what you mean. While I haven’t tried patenting them, from what I know, patenting AI-generated stuff can be tricky since it’s not purely human-made. Maybe try copyright instead? Just my two cents
I’ve been in a similar situation where I used AI tools to create some unique designs for a project. From what I’ve learned, patenting an AI-generated image can be tricky. Typically, patents are granted for inventions or processes, not just artistic works. For images, copyrights usually apply rather than patents. You might want to look into copyrighting your work, which protects the expression of ideas rather than the ideas themselves. If your images are highly unique, you could consult a copyright lawyer to explore the best way to protect them legally.
