Sorry if this isn’t the right forum to post in, but I’ve been wanting to find out how I can grow and work more in GenAI and large language models ever since I started working in this field a couple of years ago.
I’ve had some experience working as a data labeling analyst at Meta where I was doing prompt writing and analysis for red teaming functions to train LLMs to detect and reject specific user intentions.
I also worked with Scale AI on two main projects: improving LLMs like ChatGPT by creating ‘ideal’ responses based on factuality, user intent, and conversational alignment.
I’m feeling pretty confident in my experience with prompt engineering, but I want to know what steps I can take to further my career in GenAI with my background.
What are the best courses or career paths to grow in this field?
Companies are now outsourcing this kind of work to developing countries, like Kenya. As reported by 60 Minutes, these places have highly educated, English-speaking populations, and tech companies are paying as little as $2/hr. Here’s a video with more details: link

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. Every data labeling job now seems to offer just a month or less of work for around $15/hr. That’s why I’m looking to expand my skillset to keep working with GenAI.
