How to Get Rid of ChatGPT Highlights?

Hello folks, I’ve been using ChatGPT for a while now, and I’ve noticed that certain text gets highlighted, which can be distracting when I’m trying to read through the responses. I’m not sure if there’s a way to disable this feature or if it’s just part of the interface.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of these highlights? Any tips or settings I should look for would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

It seems like managing this feature is challenging without direct support. I would recommend reaching out to ChatGPT customer service for assistance.

To paste text without formatting, use Ctrl+Shift+V (or Cmd+Shift+V on Mac). To remove a gray background, highlight the text and choose “Clear formatting”. Finally, remove any text background in your word processor’s formatting options.

Hey everyone,

I totally get how those highlights can be distracting! Unfortunately, the highlighting is part of the default interface and can’t be turned off directly. However, a workaround could be to copy the text into a plain text editor or a word processor to remove any formatting. If you’re using ChatGPT on a browser, you could also try using browser extensions that allow custom CSS to alter the appearance of web pages, which might help you hide the highlights. Hope this helps make your reading experience smoother!

Thanks!
