How to disable Bing AI copilot

I find the Bing AI Copilot in Microsoft Edge a bit distracting. Is there a way to completely disable it, or perhaps just hide the sidebar icon without affecting other functionalities?

Microsoft poured $10 billion into OpenAI. They’re really eager for you to utilize it. It’s here to stay for the foreseeable future.

Indeed, @Khai if you find the Bing AI Copilot in Microsoft Edge to be bothersome, you may hide or disable it.

The steps to either hide the sidebar symbol or totally disable it are as follows:

To Turn Off Bing AI Copilot Totally:
Launch Microsoft Edge.
To access the settings page, type edge://settings in the address box and hit Enter.
Click “Sidebar” in the sidebar on the left.
Locate the “Discover” option, then flip it off.

Bing has a setting to turn off or reduce how often chat results show up. The other commenters are wrong.

To do this, go to the menu (three lines) → Settings → More → Chat result on response page.

Open Microsoft Edge, select settings, Scroll down to the ‘Services’ section and look for options related to AI features or ‘Bing Copilot’. You can then toggle off the switch for any AI features or ‘Bing Copilot’.
