In 2025, AI, machine learning, and data science will be different fields, each with its own job opportunities and salary potential. AI focuses on creating smart systems to automate tasks and make decisions. Machine learning helps computers learn from data without needing to be programmed. Data science brings together programming, statistics, and industry knowledge to extract insights from data. Knowing the differences will be important for choosing a career in these fields as they change.

Starting with generative AI is a good idea. There’s a lot to explore and it’s a hot topic right now. You can also learn from other fields, there’s no reason you can’t mix knowledge from all of them!

Yeah, the overlap between these topics is huge. I don’t see how you can go into any of them without combining parts from the others.
@Jess
Exactly. I think it’s better to first learn how to build systems, so start with backend development and then move on to AI.
Cloud computing for training large language models (LLMs) is going to be a big deal. Very soon, there will be lots of LLMs available in the cloud.
Data science could be the best field to go into. Turning AI into smart agents, like what’s happening now, takes specialized AI knowledge.
What’s the best cloud computing platform for AI right now?
